Alpha Dog Daycare Centre offers an exclusive experience for your furry four legged. Nestled within our family owned farm, we offer a climate controlled indoor play barn as well as a large outdoor play paddock, both of which are completely safe and secure. We meet all DEFRA ‘higher standards’ for the provision of dog daycare, and as such have a ratio of no more than 8 dogs for each member of staff. To ensure that your four legged friend received the utmost attention and that there are never too many dogs, we will never have more than 16 dogs per day.
Indoors…..
Whether your best friend loves to run, jump, climb and explore, play with a group of pals or even just lounge on a sofa in front of a toasty fire, Alpha Dog caters for every type of dog.
Our indoor play barn is a fantastic, climate controlled space to have fun and play, with a range of equipment to keep dogs fully entertained, as well as a structured daily plan for engagement activities for socialisation and stimulation. In addition, our ‘Home Corner’ offers laid-back dogs just that! A home from home experience where they can curl up on a cosy sofa or thick fluffy bed, in front of a warm fire and television, just like they do at home with their family!
Outdoors….
We have a large outdoor play paddock where dogs can play in and on a range of equipment available to them, do a spot of agility, play in the sand pit or paddling pools or maybe take a snooze in the beach hut or the dinky dog house! There is direct access to the outdoor play paddock from the heated play barn, therefore your dog will have a choice of comfy dog beds and sofas if they would like to escape the weather or have a snooze. The dogs have constant access to the building, so they can use it as much or as little as they like! Our mantra is, “Its All About Choice!”.
We are 100% crate free and all dogs are constantly supervised by qualified staff, making your best friend feel completely at home for the entirety of their stay. We also provide organic chew sticks each day…with owners permission, different sizes for different dogs!
Field Walks….
If, as part of your dogs experience you would like your best friend to have an additional one to one lead walk in one of our empty fields, please just ask, there is no extra cost.
Safety is Paramount…..
Although all our land is enclosed with stock fencing, we will not walk dogs in our outer fields without a lead, even if they have perfected the art of recall. The safety of your dog is absolutely paramount and it is impossible to risk assess and mitigate against an unexpected sight, sound or smell that may cause a dog to bolt. It is for this reason that your four-legged friend will not be allowed ‘off lead’ unless within one of our secure areas, namely the indoor play barn or outdoor play paddock which is enclosed by an 8ft high fence. However, we are more than happy to provide ‘on lead’ field walks at your request.
Free Collection and Drop-Off
We understand how hectic the morning rush to work and school can be, the discovery of unfinished homework, missing car keys and a 9am meeting can make for a manic morning. You don’t need to worry about your four-legged friends’ day too. That why, as part of the price, we offer free local collection and drop off. You don’t need to be at home either. All our staff are DBS checked and most of our clients are comfortable sharing a key with Alpha Dog Daycare Centre.
Furthermore, two to three members of our team are on-call each day to transport dogs directly to our Daycare Centre, collecting on an area-based approach to minimise transportation time for dogs. Other than this short journey to and from site, no part of your dog’s day will involve being kept in a vehicle.
